Donald J. Colucci, a partner at Wolkin Curran, focuses on surety and construction-related matters and has 20 years experience as construction surety counsel. Immediately prior to joining Wolkin Curran in 2003, Mr. Colucci was with the construction section of the San Francisco City Attorney's Office, where his main focus was assessing and litigating contractor claims on the $3,000,000,000 San Francisco International Airport expansion project that was completed in the late 1990's. Mr. Colucci represents construction bond sureties, public entities and construction contractors, and has litigated numerous construction disputes to resolution, both through ADR and through trial and appeal.
Mr. Colucci received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Franklin and Marshall College, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco School of Law. He was a Judicial Extern to Justice John E. Benson of the California Court of Appeals, First District. Mr. Colucci is a member of the American Bar Association, and its Construction Forum, its Torts and Insurance Practice Section, and its Surety and Fidelity Subcommittee. He is a member of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Associated General Contractors of California. Mr. Colucci is admitted to the California Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and all U.S. District Courts in California.
